There should be a rental price price for streaming games. Even if it's renting for a time period up to a price cap. It would be quite commercially viable to rent in 2 hour blocks until you hit purchase price cap and then you don't pay anymore -- it's yours. So if you only play 4 hours, you just pay for two 2 hour rental periods. If you play for 100 hours, you don't pay any more than the purchase price. That would be the most consumer-friendly way to do it.
