Beyond fear, destiny awaits. Watch the trailer for the highly anticipated #DuneMovie now.

Oscar nominee Denis Villeneuve (“Arrival,” “Blade Runner 2049”) directs Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures’ “Dune,” the big-screen adaptation of Frank Herbert’s seminal bestseller of the same name. A mythic and emotionally charged hero’s journey, “Dune” tells the story of Paul Atreides, a brilliant and gifted young man born into a great destiny beyond his understanding, who must travel to the most dangerous planet in the universe to ensure the future of his family and his people. As malevolent forces explode into conflict over the planet’s exclusive supply of the most precious resource in existence-a commodity capable of unlocking humanity’s greatest potential-only those who can conquer their fear will survive. The film stars Oscar nominee Timothée Chalamet (“Call Me by Your Name,” “Little Women”), Rebecca Ferguson (“Stephen King’s Doctor Sleep,” “Mission: Impossible - Fallout”), Oscar Isaac (the “Star Wars” franchise) Oscar nominee Josh Brolin (“Milk,” “Avengers: Infinity War”), Stellan Skarsgård (HBO’s “Chernobyl,” “Avengers: Age of Ultron”), Dave Bautista (the “Guardians of the Galaxy” films, “Avengers: Endgame”), Stephen McKinley Henderson (“Fences,” “Lady Bird”), Zendaya (“Spider-Man: Homecoming,” HBO’s “Euphoria”), Chang Chen (“Mr. Long,” “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon”), David Dastmalchian (“Blade Runner 2049,” “The Dark Knight”), Sharon Duncan-Brewster (“Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” Netflix’s “Sex Education”), with Oscar nominee Charlotte Rampling (“45 Years,” “Assassin’s Creed”), with Jason Momoa (“Aquaman,” HBO’s “Game of Thrones”), and Oscar winner Javier Bardem (“No Country for Old Men,” “Skyfall”). Villeneuve directed “Dune” from a screenplay he co-wrote with Jon Spaihts and Eric Roth based on the novel of the same name written by Frank Herbert. Villeneuve also produced the film with Mary Parent, Cale Boyter and Joe Caracciolo, Jr. The executive producers are Tanya Lapointe, Joshua Grode, Herbert W. Gains, Jon Spaihts, Thomas Tull, Brian Herbert, Byron Merritt and Kim Herbert. Behind the scenes, Villeneuve reteamed with two-time Oscar-nominated production designer Patrice Vermette (“Arrival,” “Sicario,” “The Young Victoria”), two-time Oscar-nominated editor Joe Walker (“Blade Runner 2049,” “Arrival,” “12 Years a Slave”), two-time Oscar-winning visual effects supervisor Paul Lambert (“First Man,” “Blade Runner 2049”), and Oscar-winning special effects supervisor Gerd Nefzer (“Blade Runner 2049”). He also collaborated for the first time with Oscar-nominated director of photography Greig Fraser (“Lion,” “Zero Dark Thirty,” “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story”); three-time Oscar-nominated costume designer
Jacqueline West (“The Revenant,” “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” “Quills”) and co-costume designer Bob Morgan; and stunt coordinator Tom Struthers (“The Dark Knight” trilogy, “Inception”). Oscar-winning and multiple Oscar-nominated composer Hans Zimmer (“Blade Runner 2049,” “Inception,” “Gladiator,” “The Lion King”) is creating the score. Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures Present “Dune.” The film is slated to be released in theaters on December 18, 2020.

They should've went with Jodorowsky's vision now. He wanted to make it long, It should be a Netflix series done right.

No, no and no. He's too soft, too soft Paul in the books, Paul in Dino's version spot on. Two the bene gesserit do not fill him in on the plot to take down house Atredis. The bene gesserit did not want him born. Read the books. Already this is an abomination feed it to a sand worm and be done.

    22. TMKid

I am throughly impressed about how this adaptation of Dune will turn out. After seeing Blade Runner 2049 and Arrival, I have full faith in Denis Villenueve. Lets hope that Warner Bros. doesn't fuck this up in the editing room like they did with Suicide Squad.

I hope this is better then the 1984 film because I want them to take this seriously like the Book

    33. Jerry Deem

I've reread the entire Dune series, miltiple times since l was in highschool (76) grad. I can only hope this version on screen does it any justice, as all other versions were real disappointments.

To anybody who's read the books, all the tiny little details in this are insane. This looks better than anyone could've hoped for.

    42. 罗金辉

From -"Ah!my boy." to -"My lord,Duke." I see character development.

      1. BucyKalman

He only becomes the Duke after he survives his father. That is how peerages work. When Duncan said "My Boy", Paul was not the Duke yet.

    43. bittersweet 777

Main actor mumbling and running words together.....AGAIN.

    44. BaneSIlvermoon

I mean, it can't be worse than the 1984 movie. Hopefully it takes more inspiration from the book

Hits most of the marks in "How To Make A Trailer." cssel.info/video/video/r3iIl5rU3H5jbXQ.html I know the director doesn't have control over how a trailer gets made, lets hope he has more control over his film than the studio guys who made this trailer.

      1. zijuiy wttuy

This was made for Frank Herbert fans. I truly hope that it is as a trailer should be: a slim viewing of a masterpiece, and not the best part of the movie.

    53. Timmy

Why does the video become blank at 1:22? 🤔

    54. DarthVader20201

WHY ARE THEY MUMBLING?! God this seems like it is going to have TENET level sound issues - can anyone tell me what they were saying in the first 10 seconds???

      1. Steven Borg

@BucyKalman Did you catch what was being said at the start??

      2. BucyKalman

Timothée Chalamet is a well-trained, accomplished actor as seen by his multiple awards nominations and wins, but I agree that he tends to mumble and run his words together in most of his movies. That is actually something he still needs to work on.

    59. Alexander Lee

Isnt this like the third version of this film?

      1. Mo Kassabian Svendsen

@Luca Patel i accidently couunted teh mini series as a film XD

      2. Luca Patel

@Mo Kassabian Svendsen Because you said film I assumed you were just talking about movies. Ye I'm pretty sure there was a mini series.

      3. Mo Kassabian Svendsen

@Luca Patel there was also the mini series no? And if i understand correctly tje books are still being written, albiet by the son.

      4. Luca Patel

second. They're both adaptions of books so it's not really a reboot, and the old version wasn't very well received.

    65. Jemono

I hardly ever comment but I need to for this. Looks almost perfect. Keep this tone and style up for the rest of the books and you'll be bigger than Ben Hurr.

    66. charles R

On behalf of Disney's starwars failure Dune is going to steal their place

    67. Byron Holmes

This was made for Frank Herbert fans. I truly hope that it is as a trailer should be: a slim viewing of a masterpiece, and not the best part of the movie.

    68. Fidel Vázquez Moreno

That big thing at the end, remind me the weird mouth that ate bobba feet

    69. Matthew SETIAWAN

      So... copy-cat Star Wars???

      1. Nikhil ‘Forsaken’ Kumawat

*Jumping Peppers!* Look, were talking about this in the perspective of a movie watcher, not a book reader: I’m sure most movie watchers or almost all teens today, have not heard about Dune. Sure Star Wars novels may have copied Dune, but that’s the novels not the movies. Movies have an entirely different standard than books. You have to basically have the best imagination to make black and white ink become a colorful and beautiful reality. That is something Star Wars did successfully, and Dune can just copy off from Star Wars.

      2. *Jumping Peppers!*

@Nikhil ‘Forsaken’ Kumawat I'm pretty sure that Dune is the best selling science fiction novel ever. Frank Herbert gave pretty detailed descriptions of buildings, objects, people, and wildlife in his books. Star Wars was anything but original. Lucas stole a ton of ideas from Dune and Flash Gordon. Tatooine is a rip-off of Arrakis. The sand crawlers are inspired by the spice harvesters. The Jedi are very much like the Bene Geneserit.

      3. Nikhil ‘Forsaken’ Kumawat

*Jumping Peppers!* just because it was written before Star Wars does not mean it’s not copying Star Wars movies. The Star Wars franchise made original backgrounds, sword fights, music, transportation, etc..., all whilst Dune was just a book with words, and was not at all popular. All of a sudden when Star Wars becomes popular, HBO be like “lets make a copy cat star wars, by basing it on an unknown book written in 1965 which is similar to star wars , so that if people accuse us of copying we can just say it was written before star wars”.

      4. *Jumping Peppers!*

Dune was written back in 1965, which was 12 years before the first Star Wars movie.

      5. Gerry Guadayo

LOL. Star Wars stole ideas FROM Dune. Have you read the book?

    70. aj deguzman

I've listened to the audio book of dune and my number one favorite part was the women with the trap box.

    81. Likhit Yarramsetti

This trailer and Dennis Villeneuve's career is just so inspiring. If anyone has doubts on whether this is going to be good, I'd say that you're in good hands and don't need to worry too much. And I'm not overhyping, I'm just saying what's likely to happen.

1:08 The shot of Jessica under that veil does things to me. What a goddamn beauty. Never thought of the Bene Gesserit looking like that but it was a nice touch.

    85. john doe

half the casting is crap. zendaya? seriously?

      1. l P

BucyKalman Yeah I know her role in this film will be small, but @John Doe claiming she’s “trash” is just a false statement. 🤷🏻‍♂️

      2. BucyKalman

@l P Besides her screen time, at least in the first Dune movie, will be minimal. She said she only had four days of shooting and that her part is very small. The trailer makes it look big because she is an audience magnet. Same for Jason Momoa, who probably has a bigger part than Zendaya, but is not a lead actor in this movie either.

      3. l P

She just won an Emmy for Best Actress for her lead role in HBO's Euphoria. This isn't the same Disney channel acting she began her career with.

      4. Kirk Bertino

Normally I would agree, but I've read the book and saw the first movie. Her character is mostly in the background.

    86. Jim Gray

It is by will alone I click and set the trailer in motion, It is by clicks and thumbs up the trailer acquires views, Views acquire hype, hype becomes a warning, It is by will alone I click repeat and do it again. (Can't wait :) )
